Good Pitch is a global programme initiated by Doc Society (UK) in partnership with Sundance Institute and Ford Foundation. It is a productive hub connecting documentary filmmakers with new kinds of partners across society, offering new funding and distribution opportunities to reach larger audiences with strategic impact campaigns. Since 2007, the programme has run in over 15 countries and 35 cities, and raised over USD33 million. Over 5000 organisations have participated. Good Pitch has empowered 119 social justice impact campaigns: shifting narratives, changing behaviours and impacting policy-making.

In 2021, Good Pitch will run in New Zealand for the first time. Before its main programme next year, Good Pitch will run a series of events, THE FUTURE OF IMPACT PRODUCING, to help you get a better understanding of Good Pitch and its important elements - social impact film, impact producing, and impact campaigns. Below are the details of the events:

2. Listen to the Experts - Case Study
3. Let’s Do It - Hands- On- Hands Workshop

Through these events, you will gain in-depth knowledge and information regarding:

• What kind of impact is possible with a documentary film?
• Are there certain kinds of films or topics which are more likely to create impact?
• How will the change happen?

• What kind impact did the film have? How much influence, of whom, and why?
• What are the opportunities available? How can you get involved in? As a filmmaker, as an organisation, or just as an individual?

These three events are not only ideal for media professionals of all levels, but also for any changemakers, academics, or students who wish to find out more about the Good Pitch Programme and social impact campaigns.
